ATB’s Corporate Development function looks for investment, venture, and acquisition opportunities that support ATB’s strategy and direction. This includes potential investments in technology businesses that are commercially partnered with ATB or that support ATB’s ongoing business and objectives.

Radical Ventures has launched a $350 Million USD VC fund focused on artificial intelligence. Investing in this fund and partnering with Radical is allowing us to support numerous businesses in the space of this disruptive technology.

In 2019, ATB acquired the technology assets of Vancouver-based Grow Technologies Inc. The acquisition of this intellectual property and dedicated team will allow ATB to accelerate the development of its digital onboarding product for retail and business customers.

Shannon Ernst

Shannon has 20+ years experience in the capital markets in Canada, Europe and Silicon Valley and has covered a wide spectrum of financial disciplines in her career. Shannon represents ATB’s interests in a number of externally managed venture and PE funds and is a past director of the CVCA.
